Recreation Center Leisure Pool
The Recreation Center leisure pool is a great place for the entire family to hang out. The 87-degree pool features geysers in the zero depth entry area and three slides.
Relax on the lazy river, enjoy the hot tub and zero-depth entry, let the kids burn energy on the interactive play structure, or take a steam in the steam room. There is truly something for everyone at this unique Town pool.
Improvements are coming to the Recreation Center this August. The main facility will remain open through these projects, however, certain areas will be closed to complete the work listed below.
Recreation Center Leisure Pool Area: Aug. 17-Sept. 4
The Rec Center Leisure Pool HVAC unit is due for a replacement. This project began over a year ago and will be completed over the second half of August. This project requires us to drain the Leisure Pool and hot tub to remove all humidity from the area. We are scheduled to reopen the Leisure Pool area on Sept. 4. The lap pool will remain open for use during this closure. The sauna will remain closed after this project due to COVID protocols.
Use your Recreation Center Pass at the Outdoor Pools: Aug. 17-Sept. 4
Recreation Center memberships and multi-visit passes will be honored at the outdoor pools during this closure.
The Recreation Center Leisure Pool is now open. Reservations for the leisure pool can be made two days in advance for a 90-minute session.
- Capacity: 48 participants
- Sauna is NOT available
- Hot tub space is extremely limited (three people per rotation). If tub capacity is reached, participants must rotate out at the end of one bubble cycle.
- Limited lockers are available for use, showers are available for swimmers to rinse off
- Please arrive with your swim suit on and be prepared to leave the facility in your swim suit.
- Slides available for use starting at 9 a.m.
Rules and regulations
Children under the age of 8 must have a paying adult with them in the pool.
Inner tubes are available and required for the tube slide.
You must be at least 48 inches tall to ride the slides.
The leisure pool has mandatory 15-minute safety breaks every two hours. The safety break is designed to give kids an opportunity to calm down and acknowledge their fatigue level, use the restroom and get a break from the possible ongoing ingestion of pool water. This helps to reduce the number of incidents a lifeguard needs to respond to, as well as, fecal accident and vomit closures. Safety breaks start at 10:45 a.m. and occur every two hours thereafter.
Food and drinks
Food is allowed in the pool area, but glass containers are not. Vending machines are also available in the pool area.
