For almost a decade volunteers have been helping the Town celebrate Earth Day by restoring disturbed areas along Sellars Gulch in Downtown Castle Rock or at Philip S. Miller Park. We harvest willow branches from healthy riparian (streamside) habitat upstream of Festival Park, then replant them along Sellars Gulch as it travels through Festival Park or along the drainages at Philip S. Miller Park.
Rescheduled due to inclement weather Saturday, April 24, 2021 9-11 a.m.
We will be harvesting and planting willows at three different crossings along East Plum Creek Trail. These crossings were disturbed as a result of the recent construction for the southern extension of the trail between South Perry Street and Crystal Valley Parkway.
