Construction set to start on roundabout at Third and Perry streets. Open houses June 29
As Downtown transforms this summer, the Town of Castle Rock is also working to ensure smooth access.
Specifically, big changes are coming to Festival Park. As the park becomes an enhanced gathering center for the Downtown core, Second Street has been closed to through traffic. As a result, the intersection of Third and Perry streets will also be transformed – into a mini roundabout.
Construction is expected to begin on July 5. Learn about the construction schedule and ask questions during two open houses on Thursday, June 29. The first is from 9 to 10 a.m., and the second is from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Both will be at Fire Headquarters, 300 Perry St. Information available will be the same.
Overall, the Town intends to gain parking spaces for Downtown, and every effort will be made to minimize disruption to businesses, Downtown events, and the traveling public. To maintain safety throughout the project, some night work and lane closures may be necessary.
Construction is expected to wrap up by the end of August. Get more information and sign up for weekly updates at CRgov.com/PerryRoundabout.
