Over the past two weeks, Castle Rock Police along with their partners at the Denver Police Department, Aurora Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation Safe Streets taskforce conducted an extensive investigation regarding the Aug. 6 shooting that occurred at the Ridge Road King Soopers. This afternoon, the final suspect was taken into custody in Denver after attempting to flee from Denver Police and the FBI Safe Streets taskforce.
“It is always encouraging to see great efforts pay off when agencies combine forces and bring violent criminals to justice.” Stated Castle Rock Chief of Police Jack Cauley. “I am proud of all the hard work that went in to getting these individuals off the street and making our community a safer place.”
The victim in this case, who is not being identified, has since been released from an area hospital and is recovering.
