From the changing leaves, to the soft, fall breeze there is something special about this season at Festival Park. Saturday, Oct. 12 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., experience a new Fall Festival full of pumpkins, activities, seasonal vendors and all things autumn.
The festival will kick off at 10 a.m. with a pumpkin patch from the Local Colorado, the organizer of this year’s Sunday Farmers’ Market at Festival Park. Pumpkins will be for purchase, while supplies last.
Families can also enjoy activity stations such as pumpkin painting, giant tic-tac-toe, guessing games, and a decorated photo station. After pumpkin picking, stroll through harvest-style vendors featuring hand-painted gourds, roasted chilies and crepes.
Douglas Land Conservancy will also join the fun with Creepy Crawlies around the Rock at 1 p.m. This educational, Halloween-themed animal event will include some of Castle Rock’s creepiest creatures such as snakes, spiders, toads, owls and hissing cockroaches.
Creepy Crawlies is the conclusion of the Animals Around the Rock series. To support the educational efforts of Douglas Land Conservancy, donations are suggested. Learn more about this program by visiting CRgov.com/RockAnimals.
