Town Council Tuesday approved the annexation of a 70-acre property known as Ridge Estates. The property, located south of Crystal Valley, will include a residential neighborhood consisting of 52 dwelling units on half-acre lots designed to preserve the natural features of the area. Council also approved a proposed accessory dwelling unit near Downtown. Accessory dwelling units by definition are second small dwellings on the same grounds as a single-family home.

The next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 20. A study session has been scheduled from 5 to 7 p.m. The regular Council meeting will follow at 7 p.m. The Tuesday, Aug. 6 Town Council meeting has been canceled.
