I have heard that the owners of the old Castle Rock Bar and Grill are asking for the building to be de-landmarked, is this true? If so, will the building change?

Milestone Properties, who recently purchased the property formerly known as Castle Rock Bar and Grill, has submitted a landmark designation removal application. Under current landmarked status, certain exterior alterations must be approved by the Historic Preservation Board.

Milestone Properties is seeking to remove the landmark designation, renovate the façade and make design changes to the overall building. This application, which includes only removal of the landmark designation and not any façade changes, must go before The Historic Preservation Board and Town Council for approval. View their application here. When a hearing date has been determined, it will be posted at CRgov.com/notices.
