Come celebrate Earth Day by helping to restore disturbed areas along Sellars Gulch in Downtown Castle Rock. We will be harvesting willow branches from healthy riparian (streamside) habitat upstream of Festival Park, then replanting them along Sellars Gulch as it travels through Festival Park. This activity is perfect for Scout groups working on their conservation badges! Learn how to improve and restore riparian habitat. 9 a.m. Meet at Festival Park, 300 Second St. 9:15-9:30 a.m. Educational presentation 9:30-10:30 a.m. Harvest willows 10:30-11:30 a.m. Plant willows 11:30 a.m.-noon Collect trash around the park and the creek.

Come out to the Amphitheater at Philip S. Miller Park for an Easter "Son" Rise Service. Several local churches throughout Castle Rock will be participating in a time of worshiping our Risen Lord, Jesus Christ, and listening to a special message. Service starts at 6:30 a.m. and coffee, doughnuts and pastries will be provided from local businesses.

Held on the gorgeous, thrilling and rolling trails of Castle Rock’s Philip S. Miller Park & Ridgeline Trail systems, this event will challenge, excite, and provide amazing views. While not overly technical, this is an excellent race for both first-time and veteran trail runners, and provides a nice test for those who are training for longer summer events.
