  1. Annual Pottery Sale

    May 24, 2019, All Day @ Castle Rock Recreation Center

    The annual Arts and Enrichment pottery sale is scheduled for Saturday, May 18 through Friday, May 24. During the Recreation Center’s regular hours of operation, the public is invited to peruse hand-crafted pottery created by local artists. The pieces make great gifts and provide excellent home décor. For nearly a decade, proceeds from the sales have been reinvested back to pottery programs to help purchase needed equipment and supplies. The Recreation Center is open from 5 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 5 a.m.- 8 p.m. Friday, 7 a.m.-8 p.m. Saturday and 7 a.m.-6 p.m. Sunday.

  2. Memorial Day Run & March

    May 25, 2019, 7:00 AM - 12:00 PM @ Douglas County Fairgrounds

    Be a part of the largest food donation event in Colorado! 5k, 10k runs, and 5k, 10k, and 30k ruck march with 25 pounds (of non-perishable food). 100 percent of your registration (and donations!) goes directly to helping Colorado veterans. Participants are encouraged to bring additional dry goods on race day to donate to help feed local homeless veterans. Memorial Day Run & March is hosted by Colorado Veterans Project, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that hosts special events in order to raise awareness and funds for local veterans and veterans organizations. Our mission is to enhance pride and patriotism in all Coloradans by building a stronger, more supportive community around our Veterans.

  3. Rueter-Hess Paddle Days

    May 26, 2019, 7:45 AM - 1:00 PM @ Rueter-Hess Reservior

    This Memorial Day weekend, the Town of Castle Rock Parks and Recreation Department is inviting the public to paddle and kayak on the reservoir. The reservoir has not yet opened for public access, so these events are great opportunities to explore this scenic reservoir. Boat inspections will be on-site. Registration is required. Rueter-Hess Reservoir is located on Hess Road, one mile east of I-25 at the Castle Pines Parkway exit.

    Modified Holiday Hours: The Recreation Center will be open from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Miller Activity Complex will be open from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Facility Pools open at 10 a.m. and close at 1 p.m.
