Sally Misare was appointed Town clerk in August 1991.

Prior to becoming Town Clerk, Sally served 2 1/2 years as deputy Town clerk. Sally also served as the Town’s personnel director from 1993 to 1999.

Before moving to Castle Rock, Sally worked in the Clerk’s
Office for the Town of Telluride.

Sally is vice president of the Colorado Municipal Clerk’s Association and is active in the association’s mentoring
program for new clerks. Sally is considered an expert
in the field of municipal elections and often teaches classes
for new clerks on that topic.

Sally earned a bachelor’s degree in business economics from Colorado College in 1982. She earned the designation of certified municipal clerk from the International Institute of Municipal Clerks in 1993 and actively is pursuing
the master municipal clerk designation through the institute. She also is a graduate of the 2003 Leadership Douglas County program.

Sally lives in Castle Rock with her husband and has two children attending college in Colorado. She is active in a
wide-range of community activities.
