Kevin Bracken grew up in a family of Chicago Firefighters. Kevin attended Illinois State University, where he was voted Student-Athlete of the Year in his junior year and earned a degree in Bachelor of Science. Since 1990, Kevin had lived temporarily or permanently in Colorado Springs, where he was a resident athlete in the sport of wrestling at the United States Olympic Training Center (USOTC). Kevin was the team captain of the USOTC program for 7 years. Kevin finished 6th place in the Sydney Olympic Games and 6th and 7th place in the world championships. Kevin earned 5 National Championships and was an alternate for the 2004 Olympic Games in Greece.
Kevin has worked in healthcare for the past 15 years for Forest Pharmaceuticals, Zimmer Orthopedics, & Vizient. He is a national healthcare consultant that leads strategic project management and cost improvement for hospitals. Kevin has served on several boards of directors. He has served on USA Wrestling’s Board of Directors, USA Olympic/World Coaches Selection Committee, V.P. of The Never Alone Foundation (International Adoption), and V.P. of the Illinois Olympic Alumni Association.
