General Information Madge Trail Length: 3-mile loop Open Space acreage: 133 acres Difficulty: Moderate Surface: Native surface, single track Parking: Rhyolite Regional Park and at secondary trailhead east of Lions Paw Street Description This 133-acre open space area on the west side of Rhyolite Regional Park was the site of the Town’s first Rhyolite stone quarry, which opened in 1872. From the top of the grassland mesa, visitors can enjoy the spectacular views of Douglas County and the Front Range from Pikes Peak to Longs Peak. The Madge Trail looped trail system on this property has more than 3 miles of trails for hikers, runners and mountain bikers. |
