The Town Clerk is the designated election official for the Town of Castle Rock. As public servants, the Town Clerk and the Clerk's Office are here to assist you and provide election information. You may contact us at 303.660.1367 or email the Town Clerk.

Biannual elections
The Town holds elections the first Tuesday in April of even numbered years for Town Council representatives and possible ballot questions. 

Terms are staggered:
  • Districts 3, 5 and 7 are elected to four-year terms beginning in 2014
  • Districts 1, 2, 4, and 6 are elected to four-year terms beginning in 2016

Election districts
Election districts are established by the Election Commission in accordance with the provisions of the Town Charter. The Town is divided into seven election districts. These districts are required to have approximately the same number of registered voters. Per requirements of the Town Charter, the Election Commission periodically reviews the registration numbers to assure compliance. The districts were last reviewed in 2010 and will be reviewed again in January of 2015.

Coordinated elections
From time to time, the Town also may participate in coordinated elections held by Douglas County in November of any given year.
Town Council may also call a special election by Ordinance for any Tuesday outside of certain parameters of proximity to regularly scheduled elections.
