Taxi Program Ride Guide
Ride reminders

Trip limits

All trips must begin and end within Town limits. Drivers are not required to make additional stops. Trips may be scheduled for work, medical appointments, grocery shopping and to go to the pharmacy.

Days and times of service
Monday through Saturday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Fares
The taxis' rate has been established by the Colorado Public Utilities Commission.

Pick-up charge: $2.90
Charge per mile: $2.25
Alternative rate for idling or slow speeds: 25 cents for 40 seconds (the taxi’s meter automatically changes the rate when appropriate)

The ride

When you enter the vehicle, show the driver your picture ID and Town Transportation Permit. The Town will pay up to $10 for the fare.

At the end of your trip, the meter will display the total cost of the trip. If the total fare is more than $10, you must pay the difference before leaving the taxi. If the total fare is below $10, you will not be required to pay anything.

At the end of your trip, the taxi driver will ask you to sign a voucher. The voucher will include your name, Transportation Permit number, pick-up point, drop-off point and the fare shown on the meter. Please verify this information before signing the voucher.

Ride sharing

If someone who lives near you is traveling to the same place you are at the same time, you can share the ride. The guest must have the same pick-up and drop-off location. The person who reserved the ride ise responsible for paying the driver any fare over $10.

Tips

While tipping is an accepted practice, it is not mandatory that you give the driver a tip. If you choose to give a tip, 15 to 20 percent is the normal range.
