Half Marathon
Our small-town character with wide open spaces make Castle Rock a great place to run. We'll start downtown and tour the Town before retreating to the East Plum Creek Trail for a shady run by the creek. The half marathon is a scenic run with nominal elevation gains and losses. Most of the distance runs along the serene untouched open space along Plum Creek.

Not up for a traditional 13.1?
The shorter 5-mile race follows the best parts of the half marathon but cuts the distance. Midway between a 5K and 10K, you'll love this run.

Ready for a challenge?
We are proud to present the Rock Challenge for adventurous runners. This race adds the steep ascent and descent of our iconic Town monument, the Rock, to the first half of the 5 mile distance, making it a thigh-burning wake up call.

All three events will be professionally timed, with prizes for top finishers. Registration spaces are limited so don't wait to sign up.

A post race expo, unique downtown boutiques, and hometown restaurants are all within a few blocks of the start/finish and will make for a great day in Castle Rock.

Scouts for Wounded Veterans at the Castle Rock Half Marathon

Town of Castle Rock supports local student, Caspar Placke's Eagle Scout project, to help raise awareness of the more than 50,000 physically wounded veterans including the 1,500 amputees from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Scouts will be running with their red Semper Fi Fund shirts if anyone wants to join in the run in a sea of red shirts or make a donation to The Scouts for Wounded Veterans charity.
