Police
The Police Department takes great pride in making the Town one of the safest communities along Colorado's
Front Range.

Emphasizing education and crime prevention, we've seen the number of major crimes in Castle Rock decline since 2000, despite doubling in population and a slowing economy over the same period.

The department's 90 employees include 67 sworn and 23 civilian personnel, in areas such as
K-9 units, Patrol, Community Policing, Special Operations, Support Services and Investigations.

Responsibilities
  • Maintains public safety in
    Castle Rock
  • Enforces the law in a fair and impartial manner, recognizing the statutory and judicial limitations of police authority and the constitutional rights of all persons

Vision
We are committed to partnering with the community to improve the quality of life, prevent and reduce crime, and provide excellence in police service.

Mission

The Castle Rock Police Department is dedicated to excellence through community safety, innovation, and public trust. Our goal is to provide for the safety and welfare of both the citizens and visitors of the Town of Castle Rock utilizing effective community-policing philosophies, including crime prevention, traffic enforcement, criminal investigation, crime-analysis and community involvement.
