Pothole repair is one of many Public Works functions.

When the Town's roadways are well designed and traffic flows; when streets are swept and the potholes and cracks are filled; and when the snow is cleared and the traffic signals are in synch, that's the Public Works Department.
Public Works plans, designs, maintains and repairs the roadways within the Town of Castle Rock, providing a broad range of services to ensure that our transportation system can keep pace with our growth.
The Transportation Engineering Division spearheaded the development of the Transportation Master Plan, which provides a blueprint for future transportation development -- and determines how all of our roadways, public transit systems and trails link together as the Town continues to grow. When a bridge is built or a street widened, our engineers make sure the project is well-designed and consistent with Town transportation goals. And we install and maintain all traffic signals, signing and pavement markings.
Through Street Maintenance Operations, we repair and maintain roadways, sidewalks and curbs; sweep grit and dirt off of streets; and remove snow and ice after storms. We work tirelessly to extend the life of our streets, maintain storm drainage systems, and keep sidewalks smooth for that daily walk through the neighborhood.
Public Works also stays busy from spring through fall with new Construction Projects to widen streets, build new bridges, and maintain existing roadways.
In the winter, snow removal crews are busy keeping roadways clear of snow and ice.
