The Castle Rock Police Department consists of 90 sworn police officers, 34 civilian employees, and is supported by approximately 25 volunteers. The department operates within four main divisions - Investigations, Patrol, Special Operations, and Support Services.
The members of the Castle Rock Police Department place a special emphasis on community policing as we strive to provide the highest quality law enforcement services possible. Castle Rock has received numerous awards and recognition as being one of the safest communities in Colorado as well as national recognition as one of the best places to live and raise a family. Some of the key drivers to receiving such accolades are our unwavering commitment to community policing, our focus on building strong partnerships within our community, and our continuous efforts of earning the trust and respect of the people we serve.
The safety and security of our residents, visitors, and businesses is our number 1 priority. In order to ensure we are continuously meeting our Number 1 priority, we developed a five-year strategic plan (PDF) with well-defined strategic priorities, goals, strategies, and performance measurements.
