Police often need the public's help to solve crimes, so the Castle Rock Police Department has partnered with the Denver Metro Crime Stoppers program.
As part of the Crime Stoppers program, witnesses and others with information can receive a monetary award, if their tips lead to an arrest and charges filed against a suspect while remaining anonymous. Awards range from $50 to $2,000, but higher awards have been made to tipsters providing assistance in more serious crime categories.
To view the Crime Stoppers' impact, visit the Metro Denver Crime Stoppers website for more information.
Crime Stoppers' media partners are 9News and KYGO 98.5 FM. Crime Stoppers is supported entirely by contributions from businesses, foundations and the public. No tax dollars are expended for awards, publicity or operating costs.
People interested in sharing information about unsolved crimes can call the Crime Stoppers hotline, 720-913-7867, or leave their tip online 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Those leaving information can remain anonymous.
