The Street Maintenance Operations is responsible for maintaining and repairing nearly 740 lane miles of Town roadways.
Types of repairs
Everyday operations include street sweeping and repairing small to moderately sized roadway failures, including:
- Potholes
- Cracks
- Sinking pavement
- Utility patches
Seasonal responsibilities
Typical duties change with every season:
- Winter - Snow and ice control
- Summer - Drainage maintenance
- Spring - Street repair following the freeze / thaw damage that follows winter weather
- Fall - Heavy sweeping and grading to keep storm drains open
