Economic Development
Building your community together
Besides being a great place to live and raise a family, Castle Rock strives to be a strong place to start or grow a business. That means creating jobs, expanding the tax base and maintaining a high-quality business environment.
With these goals in mind, the Town sometimes steps in to help get a business going. If your proposed development advances some of the Town's economic development goals, you may be eligible for economic development assistance.
Community goals
Major community goals currently include:
- Becoming a freestanding, self-sufficient community, providing appropriate employment, retail, service, educational, recreational and health care facilities;
- Attracting high-quality nonresidential development exceeding minimum standards and guidelines for architecture, landscaping, water conservation and public amenities;
- Creating regional draws that import direct and indirect revenues to the community; and
- Preserving and enhancing Downtown Castle Rock as a viable central business district with a small-town atmosphere and sense of community consistent with Downtown plans and guidelines.
If you believe your application may meet these goals and criteria and/or is a targeted businesses listed in the Economic Development Assistance Policy, submit an Economic Development Assistance Application to the Town Manager. Applications can be mailed to:
