cOverview

Teens, make a difference in your community and have your voice heard! The Town is recruiting teens to play an active role in planning and carrying out Parks and Recreation activities for the community’s youth.

Purpose and function

The Recreation Department has established a group of teens in seventh through 12th grades to assist with the general planning, preparation and organizing of events and activities in both the Youth Division and Town. Youth in this group act as the voice for teens in Castle Rock by expressing their opinions and ideas. The group also acts as a liaison with Town Council to make sure teen voices heard in Town decisions. Students help with Town events, like Spooktacular, the Summer and Winter Balls, Climb4Change and more.

Meetings and qualifications

TAG meets monthly as a group at the Castle Rock Recreation Center and participates in a monthly Town service project. However, times, dates and locations are subject to change. Parents and students will be notified of such changes. The first meeting will be Friday, Oct. 7, and the first service project will be Spooktacular, Saturday, Oct. 22.

TAG applicants must be in the seventh to 12th grades for the 2022-2023 school year and be Town of Castle Rock residents.

Application process

Applications are closed for the 2022-2023 school year.  The application deadline was Friday, Sept. 9, 2022.  After this date, applicants will be notified by email to set up interviews. Thank you for your interest in TAG!
