Welcome to Castle Rock
A note from Mayor Jason Gray …
Hello! Welcome to Castle Rock and to CRgov.com – the Town's official website. You’ve found your link to your local elected representatives. We welcome you to connect with us!
Town Council is made up of residents who are parents, neighbors, coaches and business people. I'd like to share with you what I love most about Castle Rock.
If you haven’t already, make sure to visit our historic Downtown! Experience one-of-a-kind dining at one of our locally owned restaurants, or shop in our unique locally owned stores.
Come back for the events offered throughout the year, like the cattle drive that kick-starts the Douglas County Fair and Rodeo in August. My personal favorite – and the Town's most popular and longest-standing event – is Starlighting, which is always the Saturday before Thanksgiving.
During the winter, take in the Downtown holiday sparkle and welcome the season at the outdoor Christmas Eve services in Festival Park. There is something for everyone! Further north, you’ll find a store or restaurant for your every need and taste bud at the Outlets at Castle Rock and the Promenade.
Our award-winning parks and recreation system features 55 well-planned parks and 110 miles of trails for getting fit or exploring with the family. To help keep Castle Rock's distinctive character, more than 6,680 acres of open space have been preserved. The most visible of these areas is Rock Park, which offers 360-degree views of the Town.
Another can't-miss amenity is Philip S. Miller Park, home of the Miller Activity Complex. Most people simply call this whole property "the MAC." Here, you’ll find activities for all ages, including the 200-stair incline known as the Challenge Hill, zip lines, the EPIC Sky Trek and Adventure Tower, and The Amphitheater that features concerts all summer long.
As Mayor, I encourage you to become an engaged member of the community. We have many methods for you to get involved and provide input. You’ve already found our website, which contains up-to-date information about everything in Town. Sign up for updates to get notified when there's news to share, or upcoming public meetings.
For those looking to know even more, we offer an annual academy to teach community members about all things Town of Castle Rock. We also welcome volunteers to serve on our numerous advisory boards and commissions.
We take great pride in our Town, and I hope you do, too. It’s a pleasure to welcome you to Castle Rock. I’m sure you’ll quickly grow to love the Town and all that it offers as much as my family and I do.
