Promoting your Events

The Town can help you get the word out

Community events are a key piece of Castle Rock’s character. There are many ways the Town can help the community promote local, nonprofit events - both on the web and in print. For all the Town communication platforms described below, information about community events is included on a first-come, first-served basis. Priority goes to the Town and its partners - the Downtown Merchants Association, the Downtown Development Authority and the Castle Rock Chamber of Commerce.

The Town will promote Town events or programs; community activities taking place in Castle Rock or being produced/hosted by a Castle Rock group; and nonprofit and other government events available to Town residents.

For the online web calendar and Your Town Talk, fill out this form to be considered.

Online web calendar

The Town's website has an average of 75,000 unique visitors each month. Posting on the Town’s website calendar means your event will be part of the online calendar, and individual events are emailed to subscribers regularly. (Sign up to receive notifications.) Submit the request form at least one month in advance to be considered. Optional items include a logo, photo or website address, which can be submitted by email. All photos or logos should be in jpg format (72 resolution, and 2 inches by 3 inches).

Your Town Talk

This publication is delivered monthly to residents with the water bill; it arrives in email inboxes or in the mail. It contains news briefs, useful tips and information on upcoming events. Keep in mind the time frame of your event. Not all events can make it into Your Town Talk, and while the email version arrives at the first of the month, the mailed copy arrives anytime up to mid-month. If your event is first of the month, it is possible that it will be placed the month before. For consideration for this publication, the request form should be submitted at least two months prior to the event.

Social media

The Town is on FacebookTwitterInstagramNextdoor and LinkedIn. The Town will only post its own events on these pages. However, the Town encourages organizations to post on the Town's Facebook page. Please keep comments and posts appropriate for broad audiences. Refer to the about us area on Facebook to review our posting guidelines.
