Event Canceled: Earth Day Volunteer Project and Festival

Saturday, April 22, 2023

This event has been canceled due to weather. Celebrate Earth Day with the POST Partners Volunteer Program and The Local Colorado. Start the day in Festival Park with a volunteer activity. Then, don't miss a festival with educational information from local nonprofits, demonstrations, crafts, vendors featuring upcycled goods, music and food trucks. Registration is required for the morning volunteer activity.

Act, learn and enjoy for Earth Day 2023.

Start the day with a volunteer activity planting native grasses in the plaza area and removing invasive plants in Sellars Gulch. Then, enjoy educational information from local nonprofits, demonstrations, vendors featuring upcycled goods and food trucks at the Earth Day Festival.

Volunteers needed! Join us to help with native grass planting and watercress removal at Festival Park and along Sellars Gulch. Tools and gloves will be provided. Registration is required.

Get involved — register here!

After the volunteer activity, continue the celebration with demonstrations, vendors, local nonprofits and food trucks.

Specific demonstrations will be provided by Nature's Educators, Douglas County Conservation District, and Castle Rock Bike & Ski on e-bikes. A detailed demonstration schedule will be posted to the website closer to the event date.
