In-Person and Virtual Neighborhood Meeting:  Monday, July 25, 2022 at 6 p.m.

Dear Neighbor,


You are cordially invited to a neighborhood meeting regarding a proposed Site Development Plan for a residential development to be known as Sunset Point. Previous meetings on this project were held on October 25, 2021 and February 16, 2022. On March 10, 2022, a formal submittal for the Sunset Point residential development was submitted to the Town of Castle Rock. There will be one additional neighborhood meeting prior to the public hearings before the Planning Commission and Town Council.   The public hearings have not yet been scheduled. Please note that this meeting will be a “hybrid” meeting – meaning that it may be attended either in-person at Philip S. Miller Library, 100 S. Wilcox St., Castle Rock, CO 80104, or virtually via Zoom. Both in-person and virtual options will occur simultaneously on:

The purpose of this neighborhood meeting is to share an update on the proposed residential site plan application, discuss any changes that have taken place since the previous neighborhood meeting, and obtain additional feedback on the project. If you are unable to attend the neighborhood meeting, either in-person or digitally, but would like to submit written comments or questions, you may do so, at any time, by sending them to the contacts listed below. If you have questions that you would like to have addressed at this upcoming neighborhood meeting, you may forward them in advance to the applicant or Town staff. If received by 5:00 pm on July 22, 2022, the applicant will address them during the meeting.


Project Overview 

Sunset Point is a proposed residential community consisting of a total of 525 single-family dwelling units along with associated site improvements including roadway infrastructure, drainage and utilities, landscaping, trails, open space, and recreational amenities. Since the last neighborhood meeting, the site plan has been revised to reflect a new roundabout at the intersection of both Mitchell Streets, minor adjustments to the lot and block arrangement, and updated trail locations.

General Meeting Information 

At 6:00 pm, a presentation will be made by the development team highlighting the proposal. This will be followed by an opportunity for questions and answers from both in-person and digital audiences. All participants who wish to speak will be given an opportunity to do so, or questions may be submitted via the Q & A function through the Zoom platform. The meeting will be recorded.

Information for Those Attending Virtually 

  •  All virtual participants will automatically have their video/audio turned off upon entry to the meeting.
