Our flagship plant, Plum Creek Water Purification Facility, is now open for tours and we want to celebrate with a Grand Re-Opening! In 2021, Castle Rock Water added Advanced Treatment, four processes to further purify water in anticipation of the requirements for reuse water. We want to show off the 15-foot-tall Granular Activated Carbon filters, the ozone zapping tubes and the electrifying UV pipes. Plus, the microfiltration filters that filter out contaminants up to 0.1 microns and the murky sedimentation bins that are coagulating iron and other matter. You’ll get to see the control center too with giant monitors keeping tabs on all of the processes in the plant as well as monitoring the tanks, pumping stations and other water facilities throughout all of Castle Rock.

But wait, there’s more. Mini-workshops held every 30 minutes on how to program your controller, top tips for winterization and an explanation of your backflow device—all with hands-on examples, will be given by our conservation specialists. Plus, children’s activities like Bash the Bottle, bubbles and water colors. And, since the party is in the evening, we’ve got some hot dogs and snacks for a quick dinner.
