Neighborhood Meeting – Castle Oaks Covenant Church and Unity on Wolfensberger – Proposed Planned Development and Site Development Plans

You are invited to attend the first neighborhood meeting to discuss a proposed Planned Development and Site Development Plans. This is a hybrid meeting. The purpose of this meeting is for the applicant to share information about the proposal, take feedback, and answer any questions you might have.

Project description

Wellspring Housing is proposing to convert the existing 70-unit Quality Inn Hotel into a 50-unit “for sale” condominiums facility. This residential facility would become a neuro-inclusive housing option for adults with Intellectual and Development Disabilities. 

Castle Oaks Covenant Church is proposing an expansion of its current facility at 826 Park Street to allow additional worship and classroom space for the church on the weekend and classroom space for Wellspring Community during the week. 

As part of both of these proposed site changes, Castle Oaks Covenant Church and Wellspring Housing are looking to rezone both of these properties into a Planned Development in order to better align the zoning with the proposed uses.

This application will require a public hearing before the Planning Commission and Town Council. These meetings have not been scheduled at this time.

General neighborhood information

  • The meeting will begin with the applicant giving a presentation on the proposed project
  • Opportunity for questions and answers will be available after the presentation. All participants who wish to speak will be given the opportunity to do so
  • All virtual participants may automatically have their video/audio turned off upon entry to the meeting. Instructions will be given during the meeting on how to participate
