[ARCHIVED] Parks and Recreation welcomes new registration system – introducing RockREC!

Efficiency is the name of the game with Parks and Recreation’s new registration and reservation system. Officially launched in April, RockREC is a one-stop tool for all things Castle Rock Parks and Recreation.

While the community is currently under a safer-at-home order, this new software system will pave the way for simple registration and reservation when programming returns. The customer-centered experience will make registering for programs, paying membership dues, and securing pavilion and trolley reservations easier than ever before. The new system also includes registration and schedules for fitness and athletic programming and leagues.

Along with the desktop dashboard, a new mobile app gives users everything they need to keep parks and recreation in the palm of their hand. Even ID cards will be available through the app to help with efficient scanning and self-check-in at the Rec Center. Search “Castle Rock Recreation” or “RockREC” (one word) to download the app, which is available free for both iOS and Android devices.

“We’re really excited to introduce this new customer-focused system,” said Parks and Recreation Director Jeff Brauer. “In the past, customers needed to use five different platforms to interact with our department. Athletics, cultural arts and field reservations were all different. RockREC combines everything into one central location.”

Registration is now open for future programming at CRgov.com/registration. As of now, Parks and Recreation is planning to get back to business as soon as possible. While that schedule is a little unpredictable, the department is carefully monitoring guidelines by local healthcare officials. Customers can start registering for future programs. If that program is canceled, the fee will be reimbursed.

In order to keep the most up-to-date information in the system, users will be required to set up a new member profile. Members who visited the Rec Center between December 2019 and the closure in March had their information migrated. Member ID numbers were emailed out to those users earlier this month. All other users will need to set up a new profile from scratch. Once set up, the new profile will give all members access to their entire family’s information in one location.
