Calling all outdoor enthusiasts and fitness buffs looking to change things up. This spring, changing your workout could change someone’s life at the Climb4Change event Saturday, May 22.
Climb4Change raises money and awareness for the Town’s adaptive recreation program. The program supports members of the community, and their families, who have cognitive and physical disabilities and helps them live an active lifestyle. Funds raised at the event are used to provide scholarships and adaptive equipment for the adaptive recreation program.
These professionally timed events will be held from 7 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on the Challenge Hill at Philip S. Miller Park. The 200-steps offer a great workout and a great way to give back to the Castle Rock community. The Climb4Change events are:
Registration includes a T-shirt, finisher’s medal (except Run4Fun) and prizes. Coffee and food will also be available. Fees range from $18 to $45, depending on the course and when you register. Kids under 5 are free, but must still be registered. Head to CRgov.com/Climb4Change for more information and registration.
Early packet pickup will be available Friday, May 17, through Friday, May 21, during normal store hours at RNK Run & Walking, 440 Fourth St. On-site packet pickup and registration begins at 6:30 a.m. the day of the event. Power Hours begin at 7 a.m., 10 a.m. and noon; the Climb4Run 5K/10K begins at 8:30 a.m.; Trail Reps begin at 9 a.m., and the Race to the Top event begins at 11:30 a.m.
Please note, event organizers will be working to enforce all local and State health guidelines. Social distancing measures will be in place, and masks will be required at all times except while participating in an event. Learn more on the Climb4Change website.
