To address wildfire risk, a well-trained fire department is one part of a greater whole. Residents are key partners in enhancing our community's safety from wildfire. Responsible actions residents take now can make a difference for the entire Town.
You’re invited to join the Castle Rock Fire and Rescue Department from 10 to 11:15 a.m. Saturday, June 11, at Castle Rock Fire Station 154, 3801 Prairie Hawk Drive, for an informational presentation on wildfire preparedness in our community.
The presentation will focus on the ways CRFD and residents can work as a team to lower wildfire risk in our community. The presentation will explore how homeowners can reduce the risk around their homes and property. Additionally, attendees will receive a behind-the-scenes look at the wildland fire training methods used by CRFD firefighters, such as training scenarios that are specific to the Town’s geographic layout. Adults should come ready to learn and will leave with resources to make their homes more wildfire resistant.
“Wildland fire is a significant risk in our community and Castle Rock Fire and Rescue focuses heavily on ensuring all of our personnel are well trained,” said Fire Chief Norris Croom.
