[ARCHIVED] CRPD welcomes community to National Night Out

The best “night” of summer is almost here! The Castle Rock Police Department invites you to National Night Out on Tuesday, Aug. 2.

This annual event gives the community a chance to interact with officers and professional staff and learn about the inner workings of their Police Department. Residents are encouraged to visit the various booths hosted by CRPD’s specialized units and teams so they can ask questions, view live demonstrations and collect their favorite CRPD swag. The free event will take place at the Philip S. Miller Park pavilions from 5 to 8 p.m.

“We look forward to National Night Out every year,” Police Chief Jack Cauley said. “All of our teams and units are represented, so you really get a chance to connect with all of our members one-on-one.”

In addition to giveaways, CRPD will serve free hamburgers, hotdogs, chips and drinks to those in attendance.

National Night Out is a countrywide campaign that was created to help foster positive relationships between police departments and the residents they serve. The event is hosted annually on the first Tuesday in August.
