[ARCHIVED] Learn about wildfire preparedness at Oct. 8 community presentation

Wildfire preparedness presentation Oct. 8

Wildfires are unpredictable, but preparation can help reduce the risk within the community and protect homes.

Join Castle Rock Fire and Rescue from 10 to 11:15 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 8, at Castle Rock Fire Headquarters, 300 N. Perry St., to learn how CRFD and residents can work together to lower wildfire risk in our community.

The presentation will explore how homeowners can reduce the risk around their homes and property. Additionally, attendees will receive a behind-the-scenes look at the wildland fire training methods used by CRFD firefighters, such as training scenarios that are specific to the Town’s geographic layout. Adults should come ready to learn and will leave with resources to make their homes more wildfire resistant.

The community presentation will use information from the 2022 Community Wildfire Protection Plan. Read the plan and view CRFD's interactive wildfire hazard zone map at CRgov.com/WildfireSafety.
