Wayfinding signs help provide visual cues to guide people to their destinations. The Town is embarking on a plan to improve signage Downtown to be more cohesive and aid in navigation throughout the area.
This plan will create a hierarchy of cohesive signs, from overhead archway signs welcoming visitors Downtown, to smaller directional signs that will help motorists, cyclists and pedestrians find must-see public destinations. Directional signage plans for private businesses are not included in this program.
In the project’s first public survey, residents will help the team identify any issues experienced while exploring Downtown. The feedback will help the project team discover areas of improvement and identify existing features that are working well.
The plan is being funded by the Town and is anticipated to be concluded in 2023.
