Tune in to support parks and trails with free concerts and family fun at PSM Park

Great music, delicious food and drinks, family friendly fun — what more do you need for a perfect evening in Castle Rock?

Celebrate the summer season, and help a great cause, at the Town’s Tunes for Trails, Perks for Parks free concert series. The series kicks off Thursday, June 15, with Diamond Empire Band.

Throughout the summer, on the third Thursday of the month, join the fun at the Amphitheater at Philip S. Miller Park. Benefitting the Castle Rock Parks and Trails Foundation, these concerts will feature Colorado bands and are a great way for the entire family to donate, dance and dine. Donations and proceeds from beverage sales support the Foundation.

The Castle Rock Parks and Trails Foundation is an organization that works in partnership with the Town and other community groups to enhance Castle Rock’s parks, trails and recreational spaces. They encourage community engagement and fundraise for projects that get people playing outside.

Last year, the Foundation raised over $1.1 million to help build the inclusive Possibilities Playground at Butterfield Crossing Park. In 2023, they are launching Agents of Discovery, an app using smartphone technology and augmented reality to encourage kids to get active and into nature in Castle Rock. Learn more about the foundation at GetOutdoorsCastlerock.org.

The gates open at 5:30 p.m. The concerts run from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Open seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Come early and enjoy yard games and more fun for the entire family. Food and beverages will be available for purchase, or pack a picnic. However, outside alcohol will not be permitted.

The 2023 Tunes for Trails, Perks for Parks concert series lineup:

  • Diamond Empire Band — Thursday, June 15
  • Premium Diesel — Thursday, July 20
  • The Radio Band — Thursday, Aug. 17
  • 5th Gear Funk — Thursday, Sept. 21
