The Castle Rock Water Commission is a volunteer citizen group that meets monthly to review and discuss issues related to the water department. They make recommendations to Town Council regarding the master plan for water-related capital improvements, rates and fees structures, and policies. The meetings are open to the public and held the fourth Wednesday of each month at Castle Rock Water, 175 Kellogg Court. One or more Councilmembers may attend.
Currently, the budget and 2024 rates and fees are primary topics on the agenda. As there has been a significant reduction in system development fees due to slowed growth, and reduced water sales due to rain, discussion about loans, inter-department transfers and extending capital improvement projects will be important considerations.
The dates, agendas and commissioner information can be found at Castle Rock Water Commission.
