Castle Rock Water has a slew of rebates, worksheets and videos to help customers hitch along on the ColoradoScape bandwagon. A primary resource is the ColoradoScape Renovation rebate. Customers can receive $1.50 per square foot of turf removed when replaced with low-water plant material and $1.00 per square foot when replaced with hardscape materials. Hardscapes include rock, mulch, decks and patios, and artificial turf. Attending a Water Wise workshop (within the past five years) is required to be eligible for rebates. The last workshop of the season is scheduled for Sept. 21. Please review the specific requirements before beginning your projects. They can be found at CRconserve.com/Rebates.
The Castle Rock-centric conservation website, CRconserve.com, also has resources to help customers with the transformation. The Plant Finder recommends more than 275 plants that do well in our semi-arid high-desert climate, and there are videos that show how to plant a tree, pull out turf and install a drip line. Worksheets are available to help you consider plant placement for beauty, view obstruction and to increase outdoor space viability. Many of the videos were recorded at the first ColoradoScape Contest front-yard giveaway. This social media contest is typically held in April, and a new front yard ColoradoScape is awarded to one lucky resident.
