A flushing good rebate
Not only does Castle Rock Water offer rebates for irrigation efficiency upgrades such as rotary nozzles, smart irrigation controllers and turf removal, but you can also get paid to upgrade your toilet! Toilets are by far the main source of water use in the home, accounting for nearly 30% of an average home's indoor water consumption. Modern toilets use about 1.6 gallons per flush and older toilets (prior to 1994) can use as much as 4 gallons per flush. And, each of us can flush 6+ times a day! The new, ultra-high efficient toilets are only using .8 gallons per flush. (BTW, it is gravity, not the amount of water, that does the job.)
For the rebate, you can get up to $125 per toilet (four max), and we will recycle the old toilet(s) too! There are some other requirements, and you have to take a Water Wiser workshop. This workshop is free to our residents. More information and registration is available at CRconserve.com/waterwiser. Find the rest of the requirements, the application and information on the other conservation rebates at CRconserve.com/Rebates.
