To continue to maintain quality of life expectations for a growing community, the Parks and Recreation Master Plan and Strategic Plan support the development of a new indoor recreation facility. Throughout 2021, staff partnered with architecture firm Barker Rinker Seacat (BRS) to conduct an Indoor Recreation Facility Feasibility Study to assess programming needs and operational and site requirements. After obtaining public feedback and Town Council direction on the study's proposed facility options, staff are now working with BRS to complete a schematic design of a proposed sports development center that could be built in conjunction with the Brickyard development. To learn more about the proposed facility, the Brickyard project and for general updates and timing, visit the Proposed Recreation Facility webpage.
