Where are all the public bike racks (for securing bikes) in Castle Rock located? As a very bike friendly state, why is there no map for this on our town website?

The Town supports and encourages biking throughout Castle Rock. And, we recognize that providing convenient bike parking is an important element to support cycling. To ensure that bike parking is provided, Municipal Code Chapter 17.54.040 requires that new nonresidential development “shall provide bicycle parking spaces equal to 5% of the total off-street vehicle parking spaces.”

As bike parking throughout Castle Rock may be either public or privately owned, the Town does not provide a bike parking map. It is also important to note that some older areas of Town may not have bike racks because the area was developed prior to the biking requirement in the Municipal Code.
