Is the library being forced to move and businesses being required to relocate due to more development there?

The Douglas County Libraries currently owns the Castle Rock branch building and surrounding property and has been planning a redesign of this area for some time. Douglas County Libraries is proposing a new two-story 62,000-square-foot library to replace the existing one-story 45,000-square-foot library. If approved, the existing library will remain open until the new building is constructed. Once the new building is constructed, the old library building will be demolished and replaced with parking.
