Virtual Neighborhood Meeting:  Monday, April 19, 2021 at 6:00 p.m.

Dear Neighbor:
You are cordially invited to a virtual neighborhood meeting regarding a proposed Use by Special Review – In-Home, Large Daycare. This meeting represents the first required neighborhood meeting and will take place Monday April 19, 2021 at 6:00 pm Mountain Time via a Zoom Meeting. This notice is going to all property owners within 500’ of the property.

Project Narrative:
High Five Preschool currently operates out of 978 McMurdo Circle under an in-home, small daycare license. High Five Preschool currently operates Tuesday through Thursday from 9:30-12:30 pm and follows the Douglas County School District calendar. High Five Preschool wishes to obtain an in-home, large daycare license which allows between seven and twelve children at a time, with the intention of increasing the current enrollment from 6 students to 8 students. In order to obtain the in-home, large day care license a Use by Special Review must be approved by the Town of Castle Rock. This requires public hearings before Planning Commission and Town Council, which have yet to be scheduled.

Virtual Meeting Participation Process:
The project presentation will be made by applicant, followed by an opportunity for questions and answers from the audience. In order to keep the meeting running smoothly, the following ground rules will be observed:

  • All participants will automatically be muted upon entry to the meeting
  • Panelists, including the Applicant and Town staff will have video/audio available in order to make the presentation and answer questions
  • Questions will be held until the end of the initial presentation by the Applicant
  • To ask a question, use the chat feature and type in “I have a question” and the presenter will call upon the person to ask their question
  • Please be aware that there could be many attendees wanting to speak so try to keep your comments focused and concise so that as many people as possible can participate in the limited meeting time period
